I think they make a great pair and she is very pretty. She may play it a little too innocent sometimes, but I think some viewers may need the questions asked that she is coming up with and it helps to pace the show.Jaques Pepin could probably do the show in half the time needed. It looks like they are using Rumford baking powder.
he’s not in the “kitchen” really, theres a big difference between a restaurant and a home kitchen, or in this case a tv show
I think Claudine + Jacques is pure entertainment. I totally disagree with previous commenters. She’s his perfect foil.
does anyone know if he used bread flour or all purpose flour? cuz i tried with ap flour but it didnt realyl turn out well.. still tasted pretty good with all the oil i used T.T
1 tsp baking powder
powder
I agree and I was really wanted to make this dish but she interups him when he is adding either baking soda or powder and now I don’t know which one to add to try the bread lol
How can Jacques Pepin’s daughter know so little about cooking?
I have noticed that Jacques and Claudine do not seem to really be in sync in these shows. Not sure why. They must have a good relationship or she would not be on. I think that Jacques is very demanding in the kitchen, no surprise. And it is hard for him to chastise her and not seem mean. They needed to rehearse this show more together so the food preparation went without a hitch.
I’m sure his daughter is very nice but I can’t watch her on this show. The interaction between the two isn’t good. It’s a little strange that a father and daughter don’t have good chemistry on tv.
yeh, he is good, but the girl is stupid and annoying
This guy is awesome
