Apple Jalebi (Apple Fritters) Recipe by Manjula www.manjulaskitchen.com Ingredients 2 apples peeled and sliced them in thin rings 3/4 cup all purpose flour (plain flour, maida) 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 tablespoon oil Oil to fry For Syrup: 11/4 cup sugar 1 cup water Few drops of lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder For Garnish: 1 tablespoon blenched and sliced pistachios

Thank You so much for giving such a nice recipe ,manjula can you imagine I always wanted this recipe ,it was always in my mind from my childhood days ,you know when I was young & was in school in Karachi once some foreigner lady came & made apple & banana fritters in front of kids , we tasted it & they were so yummy ,this must be the year 1962,can you imagine after so many years I saw the the thing again & of course made by our very special Manjula ,you are just EXCELLANT, God Bless You.

Is the water for the batter replaceable with milk ? Because i mostly use milk instead of water for making pancakes and stuff.
