A baguette is tastier, but the buns I used were softer–so it’s a tradeoff. I’m glad it tasted good! Thanks for your lovely feedback!

Betty i did mine with baguette and it tasted great but it was hard putting it together i think that if i had chosen a bun that isn’t so crunchy it would be easier, but it tasted great i mean it!
just giving you some feedback

2 or 3 minutes. It’s not crucial, but it’s nice to give the steak a little head start. Garlic has a tendency to burn easily. Thanks for your question!

Thank you Betty! One more question, how long do you cook the steak for before putting in the garlic?

In my family, 1 pound would feed 4 people–that would be like each one getting a “quarter-pounder” at a local restaurant. You have to account for different appetites in different families. Thanks for your question!

Actually, my husband is getting tired of sandwiches. I get a lot of requests for sandwiches, so he has to eat them a lot, when he would rather have the steak with potatoes and gravy, rolls, etc.! Thanks for your lovely comment!

You know, I got on the internet a couple of months back and was reading about ways to make Philly steak sandwiches, and I was really surprised to find out that Cheese Wiz was the most often used cheese! I wish I had thought of that and used it instead of Cheddar! I think the sandwich would have been better! Thanks for noticing and calling my attention to it!
